Short-Term Experiences Abroad
Young Mercy Leaders Dublin Pilgrimmage
Organized by Mercy International Centre, GMercyU students join others from all over the world for a multi-day conference featuring inspirational keynote presentations and activites that explore a variety of Mercy themes.
Students also travel through Northern Ireland to learn about “The Troubles” and the ensuing Peace Process and to experience the rich culture and history of Ireland. Through it all, students engage in the history and charism of Mercy, and return better equipped to be distinctive Mercy leaders in our University and in our world.
Nursing Study Abroad Program
GMercyU offers a rare opportunity for undergraduate nursing students to study abroad while earning six credits.
Available to BSN students completing their sophomore or junior year, this three-week program takes place in May at the University of Limerick in Ireland. Students live in the residence halls and are accompanied by GMercyU faculty. Students also have the opportunity to shadow a registered nurse in a healthcare setting. Financial assistance is available.

Service Trips
Make a difference abroad during spring or summer break by providing care and resources to underserved populations.
In recent years, students in our Nursing, Social Work, Public Health, and Psychology programs have traveled to Jamaica to serve the Mustard Seed Communities, a local nonprofit that supports its most vulnerable populations.
Occupational Therapy faculty and students have embarked on a medical mission trip to Kenya to help provide holistic care for orphans and vulnerable children, addressing their physical, social, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs.
