A Tradition of Service

Through our Mercy tradition, Gwynedd Mercy University is deeply rooted in service to others. These values are reflected in the many volunteer opportunities available to our students.

From weekly service projects across greater Philadelphia to annual alternative spring break trips around the country and globe, you will have a chance to make a difference in communities and the lives of individuals.

We partner with many organizations in the area. Find new volunteer opportunities each week at the Campus Ministry office.
Travel across the country—or the ocean—and serve populations in need while living simply and engaging in reflection.
Whether you’re looking to stay in the U.S. or travel abroad, you’re sure to find an opportunity to serve.
Each September, we share and reflect on the Mercy tradition of service to society through a full week of events, speakers and activities
Young Mercy Leaders trek to Dublin, Ireland, every other summer for a three-day event exploring Mercy themes—and Irish sites and culture.

Spend a year in service of poor and marginalized people in the U.S. or South America. Apply to serve in the Mercy Volunteer Corps after graduation.
