Dr. Nazsa Baker is a social scientist and Assistant Professor of Public Health at Gwynedd Mercy University. Dr. Baker earned her BA in Anthropology and Psychology from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, MA in Health Advocacy from Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, New York and PhD in Urban Systems with a concentration in Urban Health from Rutgers University and New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, New Jersey.  

Her research focuses on health disparities, Black men’s health community-based participatory research, and health equity. Dr. Baker’s current research involves Black male firearm violence survivors, hospital-based violence intervention programs, and trauma.
