You did it. You’re in! We are so excited to welcome you to the GMercyU community. But we’re even more excited to see what happens next. Once you confirm your acceptance, that’s when the fun really starts…

Aside from attending Accepted Students Day, get connected with fellow students in the incoming class by joining GMercyU Connect! From here, you can see who will be joining you in your first-year classes, as well as get the inside scoop about different majors offered at GMercyU and life on campus.

Here are the next steps for becoming a GMercyU Griffin.

Step 1: Make your deposit

All we need to confirm your spot in the incoming class is your tuition deposit.

Fall 2018 applicants: A $125 tuition deposit ($500 for weekend nursing program) is preferred by May 1. If you are accepted after May 1, please make your deposit within three weeks of your acceptance or as soon as possible.

Living on Campus: If you are interested in on-campus housing, you must submit an additional $250 housing deposit.

Spring 2018 applicants: Your deposit is due within three weeks of your acceptance. 

You can either pay your tuition deposit by phone or by mail.

Step 2: Confirm financial aid and housing

Financial aid

If you haven’t already applied for financial aid, you should do so immediately. The first step is to complete the FAFSA. (Our school code is 003270.)

Housing assignments are made based on many factors including but not limited to: class year, gender, lifestyle preferences, roommate requests, space availability, and the date by which you send in your housing deposit and complete your housing application. Learn more about living on campus.

As we cannot guarantee on-campus housing, the earlier the application and deposit is submitted, the more likely that preferences can be met.  While we have a rolling housing application process, the preferred deadline to receive the housing application and deposit is May 1. 

Step 3: Confirm your health information

All new and transfer students must complete the appropriate health form and receive certain required immunizations before moving in or starting classes.  

In addition, all students must have health insurance coverage, whether it is provided by the University or you have your own coverage.  If you have your own insurance, you need to complete a health insurance waiver form or you will be automatically enrolled in and billed for the University insurance plan.

After you enroll in at least one class, you will be assigned a GMercyU email address. All important GMercyU messages will be sent to you through your GMercyU email address, so it's important that you get set up well before your first class.
