The Gwynedd Mercy University Futures Campaign takes place at a critical moment in time as we approach a tipping point to the future. Our competencies align with many of the challenges facing our region and our nation: the looming shortage of technologically-proficient and ethically- centered teachers; the continued demand for skilled nurses and scientific researchers, and the rising need for competent and diversified business leaders.
First and foremost, the expansion of the endowment to include support for scholarships, internships, fellowships, professorships and programs will ensure a stream of continuous and regular income to sustain our students and faculty. One goal of the Campaign is to significantly increase the availability of scholarship endowment to relieve the institutional burden of providing financial aid from the annual budget.
Next, the Campaign provides us with an opportunity to build upon the vibrancy of our residential campus and to improve student life with projects that enable Gwynedd Mercy University to become a home where students may grow in knowledge, spirit and responsibility. Finally, we hope to create opportunities to improve the academic facilities on campus as a vital asset to the continuing development of outstanding programs. As we move forward, our School of Education and Frances M. Maguire School of Nursing and Health Professions are areas where we hope to expand upon our excellent reputation for developing Mercy educators and nurses.
Our ability to compete and succeed depends upon our consolidated effort in both the private and public sectors as alumni, faculty, staff and friends work together to write new pages in our book of philanthropic success stories. Your gift makes a difference here.
