Greetings from the Dean of the School of Business
Welcome to the School of Business web page! On behalf of the faculty of the school, I thank you for your interest in visiting our site.
I’d like to take a few moments to tell you about some highlights of our school’s programs. The school is accredited by the international Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE). We offer several majors within the school, including accounting, finance, human resource management, management, marketing, sports management, and business education. While enrolled as a student in the school, you can also pursue a minor in accounting or business administration. Accounting students have the option of the traditional track or the new CPA track, which prepares students to sit for the CPA exam.
The Gwynedd Mercy University campus offers traditional four-year programs for students. If you are a working adult student, we offer programs of study through our School of Graduate and Professional Studies, located in East Norriton, Philadelphia, and Bensalem. Here you will experience courses in an accelerated format, enabling you to obtain your degree in an abbreviated time frame.
In the School of Business at Gwynedd Mercy University, you will have many options for enhancing your classroom-based knowledge with real-world experiences. We strongly encourage students to take part in internships opportunities during the junior and senior years. Our students have interned in a wide range of business, ranging from top four CPA firms to small entrepreneurships. We offer study abroad opportunities, such as our scheduled winter program to Great Britain and France. You will have the opportunity to become a member of our student chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), or our business club, where you will be able to network with area business professionals and attend guest lectures.
The faculty of the School of Business are dedicated professionals who provide an exceptional educational experience that incorporates state of the art technology, real-world application, and innovative learning opportunities such as the business simulation/case approach, which enables students to compete against students world-wide.
Please come visit Gwynedd Mercy University and sit in on one of our courses. We look forward to seeing you!
