GMercyU Men's Hoops Move On to Title Game

Gwynedd Mercy University men's basketball team is headed to the CSAC Championship game after beating Rosemont College 92-84 in the semifinals. 

The top-seeded Griffins (20-6) will face Neumann University at The Griffin Complex on Saturday, February 27. Tipoff is tentatively scheduled for 2 p.m.

Prior to Wednesday's game, GMercyU President Kathleen Owens, PhD joined CSAC Assistant Commissioner Adrienne J. Mullikin to present head coach John Baron and his family the proceeds raised from the #PlayForJaylenAndJP benefit held earlier this month. All 12 CSAC institutions joined together on Saturday, February 6 to raise money for Baron's children, Jaylen and JP. Jaylen and JP's mother is courageously battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

GMercyU's CSAC partners, and other local schools and organizations, raised a total of $6200 for the Baron family. Along with the the proceeds, GMercyU's Associate Director of Residence Life Michelle Murray and Resident Assistants gave JP and Jaylen a blanket displaying family photos.
