Gwynedd Mercy University hosted an accounting and finance career fair for students and alumni from eight area colleges and universities on Friday, Sept. 29.
The annual event, hosted at different insitutions each year, gives students and alumni the opportunity to interact with more than 30 organizations, including Vanguard, Northwestern Mutual and the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue, Bureau of Audits. The career fair was open to accounting and finance students from GMercyU and fellow Southeastern Pennsylvania Consortium for Higher Education (SEPCHE) institutions.
The career fair is just one of the many resources and tools GMercyU's Career Development Center offers students and alumni to help prepare them for life after graduation. Starting freshman year, students are able to start taking advantage of tools such as resume workshops and mock interviews. GMercyU's HIRE Education program gives students a four-step plan designed to help identify career goals and develop the necessary skills to achieve both personal and professional goals.
