GMercyU Celebrates ABSN Opening in Bensalem
GMercyU's ABSN program was established in May 2015 at the Center City Philadelphia satellite campus in effort to serve the healthcare market's demand for more bachelor-prepared nurses and the growing need for nurses nationwide.
The ABSN is specifically designed for individuals who already hold a bachelor’s degree in another field and aims to produce future nursing leaders with the high-quality education and clinical rotation opportunities that have long been hallmarks of the Frances M. Maguire School of Nursing and Health Professions.
This degree program takes as little as 15 months to complete and is now conveniently located both in Center City Philadelphia and in Bensalem, Pa. so that candidates from across the tri-state area can take advantage.
In preparation for the launch, GMercyU revamped an entire floor of the Bensalem satellite campus to fit the needs of students, including a brand new clinical lab, high-fidelity simulation lab, classroom and office space, and a lounge for students to study and hang with their peers.
