GMercyU Hosts Symposium for Clinical Coordinators and Chief Nursing Officers

Gwynedd Mercy University hosted a Clinical Coordinators and Chief Nursing Officers Symposium on Wednesday, June 17.
The symposium was hosted by GMercyU's Compassionate Care Collaborative and was held in its new state-of-the-market Frances M. Maguire '55 Healthcare Innovation Center.
The symposium was designed to bring together clinical coordinators, chief nursing officers, and academic leaders to strengthen partnerships, enhance the clinical education experience and provide an opportunity to share insights, address challenges, and explore opportunities to improve clinical placements and student readiness.
Attendees participated in roundtable discussions, explored the simulation and interactive learning environments in the HIC and listened to a panel discussion on preparing practice-ready nursing graduates.
Leveraging GMercyU’s strength in healthcare education and the opening of the new Frances M. Maguire ’55 Healthcare Innovation Center (HIC), the Compassionate Care Collaborative partners with healthcare systems, providers, non-profits and entrepreneurs to build the pipeline of qualified healthcare workers; address workforce development needs; improve patient outcomes through a holistic approach to patient care; and advance the use of new technologies, such as AI, to improve equity and access to quality healthcare, as well as the patient experience.
