Respiratory Care’s New Critical Care Mannequin

Respiratory Care program's new critical care mannequinGwynedd Mercy University’s award-winning Respiratory Care program received a new Laerdal critical care mannequin with its IngMar ASL-5000 simulator now fully integrated into the program’s ICU simulation space.

“This addition is an absolute game changer for our advanced simulation capabilities," said Randy Solly, MS, RRT, RPFT, AE-C, the director of the Respiratory Care program. "The realism and respiratory functionality of this setup will elevate our students’ critical-care training in ways we’ve never been able to offer before. We can’t wait to incorporate it into our simulations this spring!”

The new mannequin is just the latest addition to GMercyU’s state-of-the-art Respiratory Care Laboratory, which features cutting-edge equipment, models, mannequins, and simulators.

Notably, earlier this year, Boehringer Laboratories donated 10 brand new suction regulators to the program after learning of its prestigious Apex award.

GMercyU offers both an Associate in Respiratory Care degree and a Bachelor of Health Science in Respiratory Care degree.
