GMercyU Partners with Healthcare Systems for Career and Student Loan Repayment Opportunities
Employers want GMercyU graduates – it's why so many have partnered with the University to offer career and loan repayment opportunities for Nursing, Respiratory Care, and Radiologic Technology students.
Through the Scholars Network, health systems get the skilled and compassionate healthcare professionals they need, and students get to choose the health system that best suits their career goals.
Nursing Opportunities
Students in GMercyU's Nursing programs can have between $25,000-$40,000 of their educational loans repaid by one of the health systems listed below in exchange for a two- to –three-year work commitment upon graduation and licensure. Monthly loan repayments are made by the health system for as long as the graduate remains employed, up to the maximum loan amounts listed below.
- Penn Medicine: From founding the first U.S. hospital and medical school to pioneering vaccine and cancer treatments, Penn Medicine seeks to create lasting and positive change in the communities it serves. GMercyU RNs accepted into the Scholars Network are eligible for up to $40,000 in loan repayment for a 3-year work commitment.
- Penn Highlands Healthcare: Located in Western PA, each facility is the largest employer in its hometown and is deeply rooted in the local community. Two locations, Mon Valley and DuBois, are offering $40,000 in loan repayment for a 3-year work commitment.
- Temple Health: An academic medical center located in Philadelphia, Temple Health is best known for its commitment to the local community, dedication to cutting edge research, high acuity patient population, and an array of areas in which to specialize. GMercyU RNs accepted into the Scholars Network are eligible for $40,000 in loan repayment for a 3-year commitment.
- UNC Health - Wayne: Located in North Carolina, UNC Health Wayne is offering up to $40,000 in loan repayments in return for a 3-year work commitment.
- WellSpan Health: With nine hospital locations spanning from Lewisburg to Waynesboro, WellSpan provides new nurses a variety of locations and specialties to choose from. Select $25,000 for a 2-year commitment or $37,500 for a 3-year commitment.

Respiratory Care Opportunities
GMercyU also is partnering with Penn Medicine to offer career and loan repayment opportunities for Respiratory Care students, in addition to a partnership with St. Luke’s University Health Network.
- Penn Medicine: Have up to $30,000 of your educational loans repaid by Penn Medicine in exchange for a three-year work commitment upon graduation and licensure.
- St. Luke’s University Health Network: Receive up to $26,000 in tuition funding from St. Luke's, whose campuses span 11 counties in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, for a three-year work commitment after graduation and licensure.
Radiologic Technology Opportunity
GMercyU has newly partnered with WellSpan Health to offer up to $30,000 toward your student loans in exchange for a 3-year work commitment after graduation and licensure.
