GMercyU Chapter of Alpha Lambda Delta Awarded with Delta Gold

GMercyU’s chapter of Alpha Lambda Delta has been awarded with Delta Gold after an exceptional year in 2022-2023. Alpha Lambda Delta is The Honor Society for First-Year Academic Success, and recognizes academic excellence amongst first-year students.

“The Delta Gold award means the world to us, especially as a relatively new chapter. Our first Alpha Lambda Delta (ALD) Induction Ceremony was Spring 2022, and now we have over 70 members. The college transition can be difficult, so having a local chapter of ALD provides us an opportunity to celebrate our first-year students’ dedication, resiliency, and academic success,” shared Kim Cooney, EdD, Assistant Dean of Student Success and First Year Initiatives, Alpha Lambda Delta Advisor.

GMercyU’s First-Year Experience program aims to ease the transition from high school to college through a variety of programming, including the First Year Experience courses.
