Program Details

Whether you're seeking career advancement, transitioning into cybersecurity, or preparing for leadership in information security, GMercyU's M.S. in Cybersecurity prepares you with the technical expertise, practical experience, and industry-focused training to succeed in a field where technology, cyber threats, and AI are constantly evolving.

The program features a set of five core courses (15 credits) to build a strong foundation in computer science:

  • Computer Architecture (3 credits)
  • Relational Database Systems (3 credits)
  • Networking (3 credits)
  • Introduction to Python (3 credits)
  • Graduate Project (3 credits)

Then, you’ll strengthen your skills with specialized coursework (15 credits) focused on today's most critical cybersecurity disciplines:

  • Ethical Hacking I (3 credits)
  • Ethical Hacking II (3 credits)
  • Cybercrime (3 credits)
  • Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity (3 credits)
  • Applied Cryptography (3 credits)

Earn valuable industry certifications while completing your M.S., giving you additional credentials that employers recognize and value.

GMercyU has partnered with EC-Council so you can earn the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification, a globally recognized credential. Certifications like these validate that you have the knowledge and skills to think like a hacker, but will use those skills legally and ethically to identify vulnerabilities, strengthen security, and protect organizations from cybercrime.

Built into the program is an independent graduate-level project, where you'll apply cybersecurity concepts to a research problem or real-world application.

Students may collaborate with industry partners or pursue independent research, gaining valuable experience while building a portfolio of work that demonstrates your expertise.
