Michelle Kulp McEliece, PhD, Associate Professor of the Biology program, joined the Gwynedd Mercy University faculty in 2003. Dr. McEliece earned her BS in biology with a concentration in genetics and developmental biology from the Pennsylvania State University and her PhD in molecular biology from Lehigh University. Before joining the GMercyU faculty, Dr. McEliece was a post-doctoral fellow at Fox Chase Cancer Center and a member of the Biology faculty at Arcadia University.
At GMercyU, Dr. McEliece teaches General Biology I, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Developmental Biology and Microbiology. Her research interests include various aspects of genetics,Drosophilaembryogenesis, cellular aging and cancer. Dr. McEliece serves as Chair of the Natural and Computational Sciences Division and Coordinator of the Biology program.
