Mary Hermann is associate dean in the Frances M. Maguire School of Nursing and Health Professions at Gwynedd Mercy University. She has taught primarily adult health nursing and leadership courses. She received her bachelor of science in nursing and master of science in nursing education with an adult health focus from Villanova University. Mary earned her doctorate in education with a focus on leadership in higher education from Widener University.
Her scholarship interests including publications involve the integration of liberal education and professional nursing education, student engagement activities as well as the impact of service- learning on student participants. Participation in service-learning trips to the Dominican Republic has informed her current research project. Mary has had opportunities to present her scholarship at national and international conferences.
