IT Resources

IT provides technical support, systems and services to the entire University community. We can trouble shoot your internet connection and computer issues, set you up to work in a computer lab on any of our campuses, and create distribution mailing lists for departments.

How to get help:

The IT Service Desk is our official form of communication with the GMercyU community. You can reach the Service Desk in a number of ways.

Walk-in support at the IT Service Desk is available in St. Bernard Hall, Room 10, Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Telephone and e-mail support is available 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week.

E-2 Campus Emergency Notification System

All students are encouraged to register on the E-2 Campus notification system. This system is used to send messages containing critical information in the event of a public safety-related campus event, including weather-related closing announcements.  All GMercyU students, faculty and staff should sign up for this emergency alert system if they will spend any time on one or more of our campuses.

Computer Labs

GMercyU offers multiple computer labs on all campuses for students, faculty and staff. Find more information about the computer labs by visiting the Computer Labs page. Labs on main campus are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on satellite campuses Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Network and Communication

Remote Network Access

Some administrative staff and faculty may be granted remote network access based on need. Secure connections are mandatory. For remote network access contact the IT Service Desk.

Wireless Hotspots

Wireless access is available around campus. The only exception is the athletic fields. Wireless access is permitted for all Gwynedd Mercy University account holders including students, faculty and staff.

Wireless Access for Guests

Wireless access for guests is permitted via Gwynedd Mercy University-Guest.

Telephones / Voicemail

Basic telephone connectivity and voice mail set up issues may be submitted via the IT Service Desk at, 215-646-7300 ext. 21444 or via the IT Live Chat.

Email and Webmail

E-mail accounts are assigned to all students, faculty and staff. E-mail is the official form of communication for Gwynedd Mercy University. E-mail can be accessed online via web portal.

Distribution Mailing Lists

Distribution mailing lists are assigned to departments based on need and must be requested and approved by a department head.

Digital Signage

A digital signage information system broadcasts news and important events on campus. Digital signs can be seen in the St. Bernard Hall lobby, Maguire Hall, Waldron Student Center and the East Norriton campus.
