As a part of the university name change and updated branding strategy, the email domain name changed from gmc.edu to gmercyu.edu. The transition period for this change will end on July 1, 2014, when gmc.edu will no longer redirect to gmercyu.edu. This means that any email still addressed to gmc.edu will NO LONGER FORWARD, as it is doing automatically now, and that groups and contact lists will no longer be accessible or usable!
Please keep in mind that after July 1, 2014
• Email messages sent to a gmc.edu email address will no longer be forwarded to gmercyu.edu email addresses
• Groups and contact list with the old gmc.edu email address will no longer work
Create a New Email Signature
You may want to create an email signature that informs your email contacts of the change to gmercyu.edu. Please see the example below:
"Gwynedd Mercy University has changed email domains. Please note the change in my email address. Please update my email address in your contact information to email@example.com. The former firstname.lastname@example.org will soon stop being delivered to my inbox."
