Military Spouse Education
Your circumstances are unique. You manage a household and family though multiple PCS or spouse deployments, often for back-to-back tours. Finding the time to complete your education or add to your skills isn't always on the forefront of your mind. That's why Gwynedd Mercy University is a perfect fit for military spouses; in any service branch. All of accelerated online and onground degree benefits are also available to military spouses, including;
Tuition Discount for Active and Retired Military and Military Spouses
Gwynedd Mercy University provides a 15% tuition discount towards all of our acceleraated online and onground degree programs to all active-duty military personnel and veterans and we extend this benfit to the military spouse.
Yellow Ribbon Program: Free Tuition for Veterans
Students with veterans benefits can receive a fully paid education at Gwynedd Mercy University.
Service members who have served on active duty for 90 or more days since Sept. 10, 2001 can receive education benefits through the “Post 9/11 GI Bill,” which went into effect on August 1, 2009. Dependents and spouses of veterans may also be eligible for these benefits.
Candidates are encouraged to apply for the Bill, sending applications to the Department of Veterans Affairs. You can even apply online at www.gibill.va.gov.
Once eligibility is determined by the VA, students who are enrolled at Gwynedd Mercy University may receive the following from the VA:
- Up to $934 per credit in tuition
- College fees paid
- Living stipend
- Book money
Gwynedd Mercy University has agreed to help cover the remaining tuition expenses for full-time students through the Yellow Ribbon Scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded to an unlimited number of students.
