Applying to GMercyU’s online and accelerated programs can be as quick as you need it to be. Below you will find the resources and information you need to make applying to GMercyU stress-free.  Admissions counselors are available for any questions you may have along the way at 844-707-9064.

We're on a rolling admissions calendar, so you should know within just a couple of weeks if you've been accepted into the program of your choice. (Nursing program applications may take a little longer to review.)

Undergraduate Online and Accelerated Programs Application Requirements

Application Requirements – Associate of Science in Business Administration

To qualify for admission to the ASBA program, you must:

  • Provide evidence of high school graduation, in the form of a diploma, transcript, or official GED test results
  • If you are seeking transfer credit for previous college-level study, you must provide evidence of a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.00
  • Demonstrate the equivalent of two or more years full-time work experience
  • Provide a score of 500 or above on the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or 85 or above on the MTLP (Michigan Test of English Language Proficiency) if your native language is not English

Application Requirements – Bachelor of Science in Business Administration

To qualify for admission to our BSBA completion programs, you must:

  • Provide evidence of at least 46 credits of previous college course experience, with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.00 (a C grade)
  • Demonstrate the equivalent of two or more years full-time work experience
  • Provide a score of 500 or above on the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or 85 or above on the MTLP (Michigan Test of English Language Proficiency) if your native language is not English

Application Requirements – Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing

To qualify for admission to our ABSN program, you must:

  • Provide official transcripts from a bachelor’s degree program at a regionally-accredited college or university
  • Pass a criminal background and child abuse records check
  • Undergo a drug screening and FBI fingerprinting
  • Provide a certificate of health from a family physician or nurse practitioner
  • Obtain and provide proof of CPR certification, liability insurance, and personal health insurance
  • Once in the program, you will also need to obtain a yearly flu vaccination and PPD screening

Application Requirements – Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN to BSN)

To qualify for admission to our RN-BSN completion program, you must:

  • Provide evidence of an earned Associate of Science in Nursing Degree (ASN/ADN) degree from a regionally accredited institution with an overall grade point average of at least 2.0, or the equivalent evidence from a diploma school approved by the State Board of Nursing and the National League for Nursing (NLN) Accreditation Commission
  • Prove that you have a valid and current registered nurse license to practice within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
  • Show current employment as a Registered Nurse
  • Provide official test results demonstrating a score of 500 or above on the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or 85 or above on the MTLP (Michigan Test of English Language Proficiency) if English is not your first language

After acceptance, you will need to provide the following additional documents prior to beginning your coursework: 

  • Proof of health insurance coverage (coverage is available from the University)
  • Proof of liability insurance
  • Medical history and physical examination record, with annual PPD update
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification or re-certification. Bi-annual re-certification is required.
  • All students enrolled in the School of Nursing who have clinical experiences with children are required to have a CHILD ABUSE HISTORY CLEARANCE.  This is accomplished by completing a Child Abuse History Clearance Form.  Form is to be completed and mailed with a ten dollar ($10.00) money order to:
