Dr. Cresswell-Yeager Receives Distinguished Faculty Award for Service

Tiffany J. Cresswell-Yeager, PhD, Associate Dean of Academic Pathways and Associate Professor of Higher Education Leadership, was awarded the 2026 Distinguished Faculty Award for Service.
Since joining the University in 2018, Dr. Cresswell-Yeager has contributed extensively to institutional effectiveness, shared governance, and faculty collaboration. Most notably, she serves as Co-Chair of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) Self-Study, coordinating one of the University’s most important strategic accreditation efforts and supporting campus-wide participation in evidence development, assessment alignment, and mission integration.
Dr. Cresswell-Yeager’s service extends widely across shared governance and institutional planning. She has contributed to the Promotion and Tenure Committee, the Education Review Committee, the Institutional Assessment and Outcomes Committee, and the Institutional Review Board, and previously chaired the Learning Resources Faculty Committee and was a member of the Strategic Assessment and Alignment Task Force.
Dr. Cresswell-Yeager also contributes to the distinctive graduate learning experience at GMercyU through her work with the EdD program, where she helps lead the summer residency, Cultivating Cultural Humility in Educational Leadership, and collaborates with colleagues at the University of Limerick on the Ireland residency, Global Policies and Practices. Beyond the University, she represents GMercyU internationally through her service as a delegate to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women and through her appointment to a UN- Women committee, extending the University’s mission-centered leadership into global conversations on equity and education.
Dr. Cresswell-Yeager earned her PhD in administration and leadership studies, an inter-disciplinary degree in sociology, political science and economics from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and she is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s degree in training and development.
In addition to her professional experience, she has coached girls’ basketball and track and field at Blue Mountain High School for many years.
