Continuing a series of student-athlete mental health awareness games from the fall and winter seasons, the Gwynedd Mercy University men's and women's lacrosse teams are hosting Morgan's Message Nights for the 2026 seasons.

The Gwynedd Mercy University women's lacrosse team held their Morgan's Message Night on Wednesday, March 4, hosting Elizabethtown College at the Athletic Complex.

Next week, on Wednesday, March 11 (4:00 p.m.), the men's lacrosse team will raise awareness for student-athlete mental health while they take on Cairn University.

Gwynedd Mercy University Athletics and Morgan's Message are collaborating on a series of awareness games throughout the 2025-2026 sport seasons.

"Balancing schoolwork and athletics can take a toll on mental health, leading to stress and burnout. It is crucial for us to take care of our mental wellbeing and do anything we can to help spread Morgan's Message about student-athlete mental health," stated Gwynedd Mercy University women's soccer senior, and Morgan's Message Club President, Natalie Morris (Boyertown, Pa.). "For student-athletes, prioritizing mental health ensures balanced development, resilience, and healthier coping mechanism!"

Morgan's Message mission is to amplify stories, resources, and expertise to strengthen student-athlete mental health, build a community by and for athletes through peer-to-peer conversations and provide a platform for advocacy. Established in 2020, the community organization strives to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health within the student-athlete community and equalize the treatment of physical and mental health in athletics. They aim to expand the dialogue on mental health by normalizing conversations, empowering those who suffer in silence, and supporting those who feel alone.

Representatives of Morgan's Message attend the games to provide more information and answer questions about the work they do to raise awareness about the importance of student-athlete mental health.
