86 Griffins Land on 2024-2025 East-Comm Academic Honor Rolls

All 17 of GMercyU's athletic programs were represented on the 2024-2025 Eastern Athletic Communications Association (EAST-COMM) Academic Honor Rolls with a total of 86 Griffins making the lists. GMercyU contributed 34 student-athletes to the EAST-COMM Fall Academic Honor Roll, eight to the EAST-COMM Winter Academic Honor Roll, and 44 to the EAST-COMM Spring Academic Honor Roll.

A first for the professional development and educational organization for intercollegiate athletic communicators, the EAST-COMM Academic Honor Rolls are designed to honor student-athletes – sophomore and beyond – with a cumulative 3.4 grade point average (GPA), or better, for their impressive performance in the classroom. Of EAST-COMM’s current constituency, this year’s academic honor rolls recognized 6,697 student-athletes, from 43 sports, and 34 institutions across National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I, II, III competition.

EAST-COMM’s mission is to provide affordable, high-level professional development, educational opportunities, and networking for its members by providing an avenue for growth as strategic communicators in collegiate athletics. The organization’s primary method of delivering on its mission comes via hosting an annual workshop located in the Northeastern part of the United States.
