Ronald Bruce is an Associate Professor in the School of Business at Gwynedd Mercy University, a position he has held for more than 30 years. Mr. Bruce is the professor for both accounting and statistics courses, as well as instructor for technology courses in the curriculum. He has been recognized by the University as an outstanding educator being awarded the Christian R. and Mary F. Lindback Foundation Award for Outstanding Teaching in 2004.
Mr. Bruce’s primary research interests have been two-fold: 1. Using educational technology to improve teaching and learning for students in the business and accounting curriculum, and 2. Applying the principles of Cognitive Apprenticeship to teaching and learning in statistics education. He has authored scholarly research in providing support to learners engaged in educational software programs, and has designed software that has been used to teach accounting and statistics.
