Nathan Starr has been a lecturer at Gwynedd Mercy University since 2011, having taught multiple history courses including Conflict and Consensus in History, World History I, and World History II.
He attended West Chester University and received his BA in History in 2005, focusing on both American and Modern French History. He earned his MA in History in 2008 at La Salle University, focusing on both Race and Class struggles, including his master’s thesis, A Dreadful Affair; the 1821 John Reed Trials and Chester County’s Abolitionist Sentiment.
As an educator, it is Starr’s goal to have students think critically about historical issues, specifically focusing on social history and debating historical myths.
