She has spent her career working in inpatient rehabilitation facilities, working with adults who sustained spinal cord injuries, cerebrovascular accidents, traumatic brain injuries, and numerous other neurologic and orthopedic conditions.
Prior to joining Gwynedd Mercy University, Dr. Mueller served as an adjunct faculty member at University of the Sciences (now St. Joseph’s University) teaching more than seven different lab courses, ranging from movement analysis to cognitive interventions. Clinically, she was a level III occupational therapist on the spinal cord injury unit at Moss Rehabilitation Hospital in Elkins Park, Pa., and continues to work with clients with neurologic conditions at Jefferson Moss Magee Rehabilitation Hospital.
Dr. Mueller earned her Masters in Occupational Therapy and her Bachelors in Health Sciences from University of the Sciences (now St. Joseph’s University). She completed her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Boston University. She has authored a chapter and lectures at local universities regarding human sexuality and the role of OT. She is also an executive board member for United Spinal Association, Greater Philadelphia chapter.
