Jesse Kunwar has been a counselor in GMercyU's Counseling Services office and the University’s Alcohol and Other Drug Coordinator for four years. She is also an adjunct professor for GMercyU's Counseling program.
She received her bachelor's degree in psychology from Lycoming College and master's degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology from LaSalle University. She has worked in various areas of the mental health system for 15 years, and as an individual counselor for the last 10. A majority of her career was spent working with severe and persistent mental illness before joining the University's counseling center in 2018. Most recently she opened a private practice with her husband in 2022. This year she will be using her knowledge of the mental health system to teach Counseling Agencies.
Jesse has a passion for homesteading, currently has six chickens, and dreaming of owning a hobby farm with her family.
