Elizabeth Keenan Knauss, PhD, joined Gwynedd Mercy University in 2021 as Assistant Professor of English and Writing Program Director. She holds a BA in English from Boston University and a MA and PhD in English from the University of Delaware.
Dr. Knauss’ scholarship focuses on Rhetoric and Composition, as well as literature of the Restoration and early Eighteenth Century. She has presented at conferences around the country on topics such as the professionalization of graduate students, pedagogical strategies in the composition classroom, and the performance history of Restoration plays.
Prior to joining GMercyU, Dr. Knauss taught at St. Joseph’s University and Manor College.
