Elizabeth Brokamp, PhD, BC-TMH, ACS, NCC is an Assistant Professor in GMercyU's Counseling program and a licensed professional counselor (VA, TX, CA, and PA) with a small private practice in Virginia.
She is trained in psychodynamic and trauma therapy and achieved diplomate status with the Academy of Cognitive Therapy. Her clinical and research interests include midlife transitions and older adult mental health, trauma treatments, counselor professional identity, clinical skill development online, and metaphor usage in counseling.
Dr. Brokamp enjoys spending time with family, exploring Virginia’s small towns and eating at local diners, reading novels, creative writing, and hiking.
