GMercyU Offers New Online Speech-Language Pathology Minor
This fall, Gwynedd Mercy University launched a new Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) minor featuring all online, asynchronous courses. It is the University’s first fully online minor, meeting students’ growing interest in having access to online undergraduate course options.
The minor offers students a convenient way to explore the field of speech-language pathology. It also fulfills the prerequisite courses required for GMercyU's graduate SLP program and others like it, setting students up for a healthcare career with much faster than average job growth, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
We’re excited to introduce undergraduate students to this rewarding field and the impact it can make on people’s lives. While the SLP minor courses are online, our faculty can be reached in-person at our new Frances M. Maguire ’55 Healthcare Innovation Center if students need support.
—Professor and SLP Program Director Karen A. Fallon, PhD, CCC-SLP
