Catching Up With Bill Galvin MSED, RRT, CPFT, AE-C, FAARC, Respiratory Care Adjunct Professor

In 2021, Bill Galvin MSED, RRT, CPFT, AE-C, FAARC retired from his full-time positions as assistant professor and director of GMercyU's Respiratory Care program, but he still teaches for the program today and maintains his role as a commissioner on CoArc's Board of Commissioners.

In this new phase of life, he's also now enjoying more time with family, including his nine grandchildren.

One course Galvin is leading this year at GMercyU is called "Teaching in the Health Professions."

"The course is designed to address the criticality of patient education, clinical preceptor development and training, classroom teaching, and maintaining strong professional involvement," he recently told the American Association of Respiratory Care.

"I can champion the need and value of teaching and learning, and even preparation and cultivation of future presenters and professional speakers at our Summer Forums, International Congresses, and state and regional meetings and conferences."
