Dr. Jeanmarie Mason has worked as a Special Education and General Education teacher, Special Education Administrator and Residential Supervisor for adults in the community. Her certifications include: Elementary, Mentally/Physically Handicapped, Reading Specialist, Special Education Supervisor, Elementary and Secondary Principal, and Superintendent.
Dr. Mason received her Bachelor's Degree of Education from West Chester State College, Master's Degree of Education from Penn State University and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Administration from Immaculata University. Her dissertation was entitled, "Work Conditions that Support the Retention of Suburban Special Education Teachers."
Currently, Dr. Mason serves as an educational consultant for several schools in the area of special education. Dr. Mason teaches graduate courses at Gwynedd Mercy University and serves as an advisor and committee member for several doctoral level students. In addition, she serves as a Practicum site supervisor at GMercyU for students who are seeking their administrative certifications. Dr. Mason works with the Bureau of Special Education as a cyclical special education monitor for public school districts. Dr. Mason has presented at various state and local conferences regarding the education and supervision of students with disabilities. Lastly, her passion is to celebrate the diversity and inclusion of students with disabilities in a global society.
