Welcome to Gwynedd Mercy University! If you are a traditional student studying and living on our Main Campus in Gwynedd Valley, Pennsylvania or a working adult taking classes at one of our three satellite campuses or a student enrolled in a hybrid or online program, you are all a part of the tight-knit GMercyU community.
Our students are the core of Gwynedd Mercy University. Whether I’m seeing them in the dining hall or cheering them on at a Friday night game, or shaking their hands at Commencement, I feel privileged to listen to the stories of our students. It is especially gratifying to see how our University community is working together to make a difference – in the lives of individual students, in our communities, and in our world.
With more than 40 undergraduate majors and graduate programs in arts and sciences, business, education and nursing and health professions to choose from, our students are able to discover their passion, build their skills, and grow into the ethical leaders so needed in our society.
I especially enjoy hearing students share stories about their global learning opportunities. Experiencing cultures so different from their own or providing people in need with healthcare services speaks to the true mission of our University.
While the degree programs and levels may have changed over the years, old buildings replaced by state-of-the art facilities and typewriters now a distant memory - our Mercy-influenced commitment to empowering students to lead productive and satisfying lives is as strong today as it was in 1948.
When I’m at those late-night basketball games, I am surrounded by my faculty and staff colleagues who are not only leaders in their disciplines and fields, but are invested in their students’ lives both inside and outside of the classroom. They help make GMercyU students’ home-away-from-home a nurturing and supportive atmosphere where they can explore, learn, live and grow.
Are you are a student making a college choice or a parent seeking pertinent academic or financial information? Are you one of more than 19,000 alums wishing to learn about happenings at your alma mater or a potential donor seeking to make a wise and prudent investment? You are all welcome to explore not just our website, but our beautiful campuses. I hope to see you around!
