Gwynedd Mercy University's Special Education Club is hosting the Sixth Annual Alex Valeno Exceptional Person’s 5K Walk/Run on Sunday, April 8, 2018.
Alex Valeno was an active club member and co-president of the club until January 2013, when she suddenly passed away due to congenital heart disease. In order to honor her, the club has started The Alex Valeno Special Education Award and has designated the 5K in her name. All money raised during this event gets donated to support local charities.
