4:30 pm to 6:00 pm

As we see an increase in the prevalence of trauma in our world and begin to understand the biological, neurological, and behavioral implications for affected populations, we recognize the potential long-term effects not just for individuals but for communities and the environment as well. This program will explore the impact of trauma as a result of violence including childhood sexual abuse, environmental trauma, human trafficking, and intergenerational poverty as areas of particular concern which are aligned with the Critical Concerns of the Sisters of Mercy: Earth, Immigration, Non-violence, Racism, and Women.
