Gwynedd Mercy University's 100-member choir the Voices of Gwynedd hosted its annual Spring Musicale on April 10 and April 12.

With Director Carol Evans at the helm, the Voices of Gwynedd delivered hope, peace and mercy through fourteen highly-selected songs that ranged from famous Broadways shows to legendary QUEEN.

Songs of Hope for Tomorrow featured many unique performances. The youngest guest appearance was by the ten-year-old son of a VOG member. He showcased his talent by introducing the first verse of The Prince of Egypt’s soundtrack, "When You Believe." In addition, Voice Box, a new acapella group of VOG performed their self-composed piece that the members had been practicing for months.

Despite the heaving spring rain, Julia Ball Auditorium was quickly filled before the start of the concert. Voices of Gwynedd ended their concert with a grand standing ovation from the audience, who were inspired by the hopeful songs and the members’ hard work.

The Voices of Gwynedd is a 100-member choir comprised of full- and part-time students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of Gwynedd Mercy University. Directed by Carol Evans, a seasoned soprano and assistant professor of music in the School of Arts and Sciences, the choir has developed into a highly professional choral ensemble presenting quality programs representing many different genres.
