Senior Nursing student Erica Brace is one of just eight students across the state of Pennsylvania selected to receive the McLean Scholarship for Nursing and Physician Assistant Majors for the 2024-2025 academic year.
The scholarship is awarded through the Association for Independent Colleges and Universities of Pennsylvania (AICUP) from an established endowment from the McLean Contributionship.
Erica was nominated for the scholarship, and Dr. Jane Tang, Dean of the Frances M. Maguire College of Nursing and Health Professions, assisted in completing her application.
“I applied for this scholarship because I felt it was a good fit as I have a high academic standing and proven leadership roles at GMercyU. I also had great support from GMercyU faculty,” Erica said. “This scholarship is a gift to my education as it allows me to focus more on academics and less on financials. Overall, this scholarship will help further my academics and future nursing career.”
