GMercyU Dean Named to IACBE Board of Directors for Second Term

Dr. Heather Pfleger, Dean of the School of Business and Education at Gwynedd Mercy University, was re-elected to the Board of Directors for the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) at their Virtual Annual Conference and Assembly Meeting. She was initially elected as the Middle States Regional Assembly Director in 2017 and will continue her role for another three-year term.

The Board of Directors of the IACBE is responsible for the general governance and oversight of the affairs of the Council and for establishing the policies and procedures essential to accomplishing the mission and goals of the Council.

GMercyU has received specialized accreditation for its business programs through the IACBE, which awards accreditation to programs that are mission-driven and outcomes-based.

Dr. Pfleger has served almost 30 years in higher education, and previously worked in the banking industry as an economist. She earned her BS in Economics from Rutgers University, her MBA in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and her EdD in Instructional Leadership from St. John's University.
