GMercyU Begins New Campus Enhancement Project

Gwynedd Mercy University recently began construction on its latest campus enhancement project.

GMercyU was awarded a $1 million grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for its Pathways to Success project. The grant was awarded by the Commonwealth Financing Authority through its Multimodal Transportation Fund.

The project includes construction of a "Loop Road" to improve emergency response for emergency vehicles, a redesign of the Evans Road entrance, the creation of a pedestrian-friendly campus core, and construction of additional walkways with a connection to the Lower Gwynedd Township trails system.

Once completed, the project will reduce vehicular traffic and improve pedestrian safety in the center of campus, improve connections with the broader community, and advance a multimodal system that improves safety for all modes of transportation.

Construction is expected to be completed by Spring 2020.
