Gwynedd Mercy University will mark Black History Month by presenting this world-renowned Afro-Cuban all female ensemble, ZapOte! New York City-based bassist, Conguera, and singer-songwriter Dawn Drake lead this Global Groove ensemble ZapOte, which breaks down cultural barriers by incorporating everything from Afro-Cuban jazz to hip-hop to samba into a soul-shaking mix. Deep bass grooves and swinging horn lines provide a danceable backdrop for Drake’s socially conscious lyrics, which impart messages of universal consciousness, empowerment, and compassion.
Residence Halls will close on Friday, February 28 at 5 p.m. for Spring Break and will reopen on Sunday, March 8 at 12 p.m.

This year’s Readers’ Theater presentation is a comedy about an octogenarian who no one bothers with until she wins $450 million in the lottery. Her friends and relatives try every trick to wrench the fortune from this poor soul. For mature audiences only.

Voices of Gwynedd Annual Spring Musicale - Come Together: A Beatles Celebration
To honor the 60th anniversary of the start of the iconic Beatles Band, the Voices of Gwynedd will sing a selection of choral versions of their best loved songs. The Beatles contributed to music, film, literature, art, and fashion, and have made a continuous impact on popular culture and the lifestyle of several generations. Carrying powerful messages of love, peace, support, and imagination, their songs continue to inspire to this day.
