Gwynedd Mercy University now offers a specialized MBA program designed to help you gain the skills you need to lead in this sector.

Our MBA in Transportation Leadership, developed with SEPTA, teaches advanced skills for careers in public or private transportation and logistics firms. You’ll gain skills in transportation finance, manpower management, and emergency planning. After graduating from this program, you can pursue management-track roles or enhance your performance in your current role.

This 30-credit MBA is available online or on campus in an accelerated format that fits your current work schedule. Both formats feature challenging coursework and small classes led by experienced instructors who will support your success. 

Transportation Leadership MBA – What You Will Learn 

With the MBA in Transportation Leadership, you can develop a broad base of advanced business administration skills that equip you for high-responsibility roles. After graduation, you should be able to:

We developed this MBA concentration program in partnership with the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) to ensure it offers you industry-current knowledge and skills. In addition, our faculty members bring direct experience in the transportation industry to the classroom so you can get even more out of your courses.


The MBA in Transportation Leadership is a graduate business degree that takes two years to complete. You take seven foundation courses (21 credits) and three courses in your concentration (nine additional credits). Courses run in seven-week sessions.

Admission Requirements – Master of Business Administration

To apply to any of our MBA programs, you must:

  • Complete your application, sign it, and pay the application fee
  • Provide an official college transcript showing completion of a baccalaureate degree from a regionally-accredited college or university; normally with a GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Provide two supervisory letters of recommendation
  • Provide proof of English language proficiency in the form of official Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) results if English is not your native language

Note: If your undergraduate degree was not in a business-related field, you may need to take prerequisites before beginning your MBA. We offer six one-credit foundation courses via an online, self-paced format. Each class takes approximately 15 to 20 hours to complete.
