Joann Erb, RN, PhD
Dr. Joann Erb PhD, RN is an associate professor in the Frances M. Maguire School of Nursing at Gwynedd Mercy University. She has experience as an educator in Community Health Nursing and has taught for several area universities, including LaSalle University, Immaculata University and Penn State University. Her clinical experience includes both acute care and Home Health Care.
She has presented at the National Association of Home Care on Fall Prevention and Orientation to Home Care. She also presented at the National Aging in Place Conference on the Role of Home Care Services in Aging in Place.
She was the recipient of Recipient: Innovator Circle Award from Abington Health Foundation in May 2011 received to implement a program to educate home care clinicians in Home-Based Chronic Care Model, an approach to caring for individuals with chronic disease. She also received the Nurse Excellence Award for Nursing Leadership from Abington Hospital Home Care Department.
She serves on the Board of the Public Health Program at Arcadia University and on the Professional Services and Planning Committee at St John Vianney Center. Joann has served several terms as an officer of Sigma Theta Tau International, Kappa Delta Chapter at LaSalle University.
