Heather Pfleger, MBA, EdD
Heather Pfleger is Professor and Dean for the School of Business and Education at Gwynedd Mercy University. She previously served as Dean of the School of Business. Before coming to GMercyU, she served as the Dean for Outcomes Assessment Research and also the Dean for Business and Education at Centenary College. She has served almost 30 years in higher education, advancing from the rank of assistant professor to full professor, a rank she still holds at Gwynedd Mercy University.
Prior to her career in higher education, Dr. Pfleger worked in the banking industry as an economist. She has authored several journal publications and a textbook chapter, and has presented at numerous national and international conferences, including one at Oxford University in the UK. She received her B.S. in Economics from Rutgers University, her MBA in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and her EdD in Instructional Leadership from St. John’s University.
Dr. Pfleger is the co-founder of the New Jersey Assessment Consortium and a former trustee for the Growing Stage Theater. She is a former Lindback award winner, a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and has been recognized as a national leader in education by the National Council of States. Dr. Pfleger’s teaching areas of expertise are in economics, finance , and statistics.
