Gwynedd Mercy University to Host Panel Discussion on School Safety, Nov. 13

 
Gwynedd Mercy University’s School of Education will host a panel discussion with education professionals from local K-12 districts, on the topic of “Safety in Our Schools: Plans for Keeping Students Safe,” Wednesday, Nov. 13, from 3 to 4 p.m., in the Julia Ball Auditorium, on the campus of Gwynedd Mercy University, 1325 Sumneytown Pike, Gwynedd Valley, Pa.  This event is free and open to the public.
 
Organized as a part of the Campus Conversation Series, this event will feature a distinguished panel of school administrators who will explore the timely topic of school safety and discuss the various safety plans and procedures implemented in local Montgomery County schools and across the country. 
 
Panel members will include:
 
Toby Albanese, Assistant Principal, Wissahickon School District.
Ray Bandlow, Assistant Professor, Gwynedd Mercy University; Former Superintendent of West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional, Hillside, and Fort Lee School Districts.
Steven A. Beck, School Safety Coordinator, Montgomery County Intermediate Unit.                                                                            
Ray Wilson, School Safety Coordinator, North Penn School District.
Danielle Budenz, Assistant Professor, Gwynedd Mercy University; Former Student Services Director, Manheim Central School District.
Moderator: Mary Jo Pierantozzi, Assistant Professor, Gwynedd Mercy University.
