Attention Drupal content editors: There is a new interface for the web site editor (WYSIWYG). It provides the same functionality as the previous one and it has an easier to read interface. There may be some formating changes as you create new pages. We are now creating a new manual to facilitate the transition. Please keep in the lookout for more updates.

IT Services Department technicians learned of a technical issue affecting access to Blackboard Learning Management System. When users try to access Blackboard they can not get pass the login screen. Our technicians have contacted Blackboard Support and have placed this issue on highest priority.
Telephone systems vendor will perform maintenance on voicemail systems on Friday, February 7, 2014. Customers in all campuses will not be able to make or receive voicemails during the maintenance period.

Please be advised that ITS Professional Development Day is scheduled for Friday, January 31, 2014. ITS entire staff will attend training sessions at Waldron Boardroom. The IT Service Desk will be open to provide basic assistance and respond to emergencies. All other support requests will be completed the next workday.

Main site address: Completed. Users visiting the school's main website should point their browswers to www.gmercyu.edu. The old address www.gmc.edu is no longer in service.
Final cut over to gmercyu.edu will start today Friday, December 20, 2013 at 5:00 pm. Username and passwords will not change after migration. Users will use same school network username and password to log into their accounts. When users login into their account after 5:00 pm today, they may not see all their contacts, calendar, labels, Google sites and Google docs at once as this content may take up to 5 days to migrate.
IT department technicians detected a technical issue with phone system. Phone calls are being dropped at Gwynned Valley campus and East Norriton campus. This issue appears to be at the carrier level and the IT department has engaged tech support at the carrier to resolve the issue.

A phone system issue affecting incoming calls from outside Gwynedd Mercy University main campus was detected by our technicians yesterday, 12/03/2013. This issue is now resolved. All incoming phone calls are now coming through.

IT department announces Windows 7 upgrade project. All computers currently running Windows XP will be upgraded to Windows 7 in the coming weeks. The IT department will contact Windows XP users individually to make arrangements starting Monday, December 9, 2013.
