ARC workshops are generally hour-long information sessions. Attendees leave each session with documentation of critical points covered.

To register for an advertised workshop, contact the ARC by e-mail , in person or by phone at ext. 21370 or from off campus 267-448-1370. Due to limited space, you must reserve a seat at least one day in advance of each session you plan to attend.

The ARC offers these workshops and other academic services to all students, faculty and staff free of charge. To request a workshop for a class or peer study group, please call the ARC.

WORKSHOPS

Organizing a Paper in APA Format
Learn how to set up a paper accurately and logically following APA format. Topics include headings, citations, references and page setup.
Individual or small group workshops available.

Annotated Bibliographies
Learn what an APA formatted annotated bibliography is, the purpose of an annotated bibliography, the different types and what it should look like when complete.
Individual or small group workshops available.

Writing a Paper in MLA Format
The sessions will focus on basic MLA guidelines. Topics will include margins, headers, citations, works cited, and notes. Participants are welcome to bring drafts and ask specific questions about assignments.

Basic Writing Skills
Think your writing skills are rusty? Learn techniques on brainstorming, thesis statement writing, paragraph development and more.

Writing a Lesson Plan
If you are going to prepare your first lesson plan or just need to brush up, this workshop is for you. We will use the Gwynedd Mercy University lesson plan format as a model.

Learning Skills
Learn methods to improve your study skills, including listening, note-taking, test-taking strategies, and reviewing course materials. Individual and small group workshops available.
